Knotty Log Featured in Eater’s Merci Charleston Opening Article

We’re excited to share that Knotty Log was recently featured in Eater’s coverage of Merci Charleston, a stunning new bistro opening in Harleston Village, Charleston. Our custom cabinets and handcrafted tables played a key role in shaping the warm, inviting atmosphere of this European-inspired space.

Our Contribution to Merci Charleston

Merci Charleston, led by Michael and Courtney Zentner, transforms a historic 1820s Federal-style building into a vibrant neighborhood bistro. The owners teamed up with designer Helen Rice to create a space that blends European aesthetics with American heritage, and Knotty Log was honored to contribute.

Our custom wood tables and cabinetry were designed to enhance the ambiance of the dining area, making the space feel welcoming yet refined. As Courtney noted in the Eater Feature:

“The tables bring in an American heritage style to the room that makes the experience feel a little bit less formal. It feels a little bit more approachable while still being like fine dining.”

See Our Work in Action

Merci Charleston officially opens on Saturday, March 22, with dinner service from Wednesday to Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you're in Charleston, we highly recommend checking it out—not just for the incredible food, but to experience our craftsmanship in person.
